because i had it

for my own being, though a phantasm

it seemed at the time, i chose

another specter to tie

the black knotted

thread of poetry

to, an apparition in the fullest

sense, vapor cannot be leashed.

the physical

love passed from my heart

to my mind, to my hand,

and i wrote.”
